Music + A.R Rahman = Magic

"the earth has music, for those who listen" - Shakespeare

Yes..and only few who makes that music even better to listen with their instruments and creative
style of presentation and uniqueness. And of course, A.R Rahman - the Academy and Grammy
award winner, is one among them.

From the film Roja [1992], his reign in musical world continues. He has become the undisputed
king of music in Kollywood. His works in Bollywood and Hollywood films are also notable. The
National awards and Filmfare awards which decorate his showcases are the best compliments
and examples for his works and efforts.

Apart from films, his individual music albums and concerts are also so special. Its pretty sure, that there
will be no Independence Day / Republic Day functions without playing ARR's 'Vande Mataram' song.

'Chinna chinna aasai' - The tune which i practiced very first in my keyboard @ my music class..! :-)

His music have not only rhythms and beats, but also have soul and deep feel. Many of his
compositions are suits better in every situation. They are one of the easiest ways to overcome
the depressions and also the biggest source for motivation.

Once SPB told about ARR that Rahman has reached enormous heights and gained lots of fame
by his music; but still his feet are in earth. Yes..ARR is such a man of simplicity and humbleness.
Evenafter getting Himalayan level and even more name and fame, his quality of being simple never
changed. Might be thats too one of his success formulas. (#BeingSimple)

Almost, all of my favourite songs are the compositions of ARR. The BGMs he composed for many
films became the identity for those films. Many movies were run, is running and definitely will run
just for his songs and BGMs.

After receiving the Oscars, in the same stage he told the words ''Ella pugazhum iraivanukae". Though he won the award for the English movie, he quoted that in his mother tongue Tamil. When asked about that he told "Never forget where you came from". Recently, he told the same words in Tamil again afterreceiving the Honorary Doctorate given by Berklee College of Music.

Be Simple & Unique ; Whatever U Do, Give Ur Best  ==> Life lessons i learnt from A.R Rahman...!!!

Cricket - Sachin - Commercialism

Sachin Tendulkar - One of the very familiar names to the Indians and also for the world cricket fans.
He has gained a lot of fans worldwide by his stylish and classic style of play.

He is the man, 'Made for Making Records'...!!! His hobbies are scoring Hundreds. And of course he is the leading run scorer in the cricket.

His special LegGlance and other classical shots are the TextBooks for the batsmen.
Many say him as God of Cricket. Yes, if the cricket is a religion then definitely he might be God.

Since India has high population, it is the place where many multi-nation companies want
to establish their market by promoting their products targetting youths. They chose cricket and cricket players to advertise their brands and products. Cricket is the only game which have many breaks (between overs/wickets/innings), and that breaks can be converted to promote and advertise their product. It ultimately developed cricket and cricket players in India and in other side they directly discouraged other games including our National game Hockey (because there won't be that much breaks for advertisements..!! ).

But nowadays one good thing is those cricket and bollywood stars are promoting hockey and football leagues.Certainly there's too business for them behind it, atleast some interests on those forgotten games have been increased.

Many corporates and brands sponsored Sachin and used him as their Brand Ambassador. Yes, their strategies really worked very well. Most brands in today's Indian market became successful only by his TV commercials and promotions. Especially the brand BOOST and the slogan "BOOST IS THE SECRET OF MY ENERGY" became extremely hit. It impacted in me and i too repeated it in my
childhood (#SweetMemories).

I still remember - i bought my first bat in 6th standard. It had MRF brand stickers. I just bought it because Sachin too used MRF bats (He was MRF Tyres' brand ambassador then.So). At that time i dont even know that the names are just stickers to advertise and thought MRF bats are more powerful than the BRITANNIA and DSM bats which have been used by Ganguly and Dravid then.

I started playing cricket with Tennis balls. Those tennis balls were also given for FREE with the BOOST. Those balls came with the Sachin's signature. No. It was his autograph..!!!

Later started to play with Stumper balls in an empty plot near my house. Now too that continues in my college grounds and sometimes in Hostel varanda just outside the rooms - gully cricket.(Hope, my hostel warden won't read this...!!!)

Sachin - one of the reasons for me to watch and play cricket. After him, not so much impressed by any other players.

He played cricket around 22 years. Though his passion and desire drived him through all his way, its damn true, in many times when he was Out-Of-Form, his place in the playing squad was secured by his sponsors for their promotions. They are also one of the reasons for his 22 years of cricket.

The place he left in Indian cricket as well as in World cricket is bigger one...Definitely the Cricket will miss him. But the sponsors won't. They have new young players and will drive their life with them.

Sachin's fame and glory will exist until cricket exists. And cricket will exist until the commercials exist...!!!

[p.s: My blog's title "LIVING IT MY WAY" is too inspired from Sachin's biograpy's name "PLAYING IT MY WAY".]

Me and Steve Jobs

Don't exactly remember, how i got to know about him.
May be by his images with Apple i-products' launch presentations.
From the beginning, i have an eye on Apple i-products for its smartness and stylishness.
May be that too the reason for me to closely watch Steve Jobs.

Until his death i thought him as Just another person in the digital industry and former CEO of Apple Inc.,  But the editorials and other articles which came as the tribute to Steve Jobs after his death changed my perspective about him. That articles kindled my eager to know and learn more about him.
And yeah, I started about study him. Thanks to the internet which helped me to gain lots of loads of data about him. When you try to know about someone completely, you become mad on them either by directly or indirectly. It happened in my case too.

'The God Of The Digital World’ slowly started occupying me. His quotes, speeches and innovative ideas have energized and boosted me in many situations. Especially one of his favorite quotes "Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish" is also became my favorite too. And i liked the Apple's "Think Different" also. Steve Jobs became an inspirational person for me.
His Attitude, Brilliance, Braveness and Courage to take risks, Determination and dedication in work, Enthusiasm, Faith, Geniusness, Honest , Intelligence, Jovial , Keenness, Love and Leadership, Motivation and Managerial skills, Nitency , Optimism, Perseverance, Quality, Responsibility, Sharp and Smartness,  Tenaciousness, Untaundability, Vision , Xtremity, absolute Zeal for new ideas ; these are my 'A to Z' observations from Steve Jobs.

Not only for Apple Inc., his contribution to the NeXT and Pixar Studios is also notable one. It is not easy for everyone to succeed immediately in whatever they start. But his hardwork and burning desire helped him to achieve that in NeXT and Pixar.

He always Stayed hungrily and foolishly, that resulted in many innovative digital gadgets and applications which made the entire World smart today.

And me also started to be "Stay Hungry and Stay Foolish" in Steve Jobs' way. Too try to think and be different. Just read that we have to Work hard until we do not need any Introduction. Working for it..Hope oneday i will make it...!!!
